Lunar Look Up

The ancient rituals of a full moon

On the full moon, a number of native cultures traditionally explore the positive process of looking up, and letting go of the patterns that no longer serve us.
The monthly occurrence happens when when the Moon is completely illuminated, when Earth is located directly between the Sun and the Moon. American folklore dictates different names for each new moon depending on the cycle of the seasons: September is ‘Harvest Moon’ whilst March has been called ‘Sap Moon’. Taking time each month to reflect on the changes around us is a practice still widely explored by many, from those of the Hindu faith, pagan practitioners to astral specialists.
